A Beacon of Light
We prayed that Your people will be carriers of Your love and that their lives will shine Your light. Renew and restore their dreams, Lord. Set them on fire to shine like beacons of light for You and be like a city on a hill shining for You because of what You’ve done in their hearts.
We want to be the light on a hill and just like we sang in the last song about surrendering, take my life Lord, it’s all for You – “Make my life a prayer to You. I want to do what You want me to do. No empty words and no white lies, no token prayers, no compromise, I want to shine the light You give. It’s Your light, shine through us.”
The lighthouse down at Mumbles road used to be burning coal fire which was later changed to a diesel lighthouse. Now, that lighthouse is powered by solar energy. In the daytime, it gathers energy from the sun and at night its light shines brightly. I pray that the Lord would charge us with His presence – His power and love flowing into us and His light shining out.
One lady said she felt that God was telling us how much He loves us. It served as a good reminder to us that in order for us to be the light, we have to know His love for us. We are ravished by His love and He takes delight in us.
We prayed for Your love to encounter the poor in spirit and the lost and ask that Your love would fill the streets in this place.
We concluded the meeting with John 15:12-13,
“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”
Thank You Jesus for Your love and we know that nothing can separate us from Your love. Teach us to abide in Your unfailing love for us. Let everything we do be an overflow of that love. Let there be a sweet presence and fragrance wherever we go. Give us a glimpse and teach us how to love one another. Let Your love grow and fill this place Lord.
