Highway of Holiness

We prayed over the prophetic word released by the intercessors during a time of prayer in BCW – that two winds were coming again to the church. The wind of holiness unto the Lord and the wind of His kingdom come. The first wind will blow away everything that is not of His and cause a shaking, which may cause the undiscerning to think that it is from the enemy. But a deep work is needed in the church before she can carry the second wind of His power, in which He will pour out His spirit and restore the fear of the Lord in the land. One person prayed that Wales would embrace the wind that is coming, and would no longer be desolate and barren, but that the Lord would move again in a powerful way. Another person sung a song unto the Lord – that there is a highway of holiness, and that the Lord is calling the church to go on this highway.

Isaiah 35: 8-10,

“A highway shall be there, and a road,
And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness.
The unclean shall not pass over it,
But it shall be for others.
Whoever walks the road, although a fool,
Shall not go astray.
No lion shall be there,
Nor shall any ravenous beast go up on it;
It shall not be found there.
But the redeemed shall walk there,
And the ransomed of the Lord shall return,
And come to Zion with singing,
With everlasting joy on their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”

Exodus 3:1-5 was released and we prayed for the holiness of the Lord to come upon his church. We also prayed that God would meet His people, like He met Moses face to face. We cried out for Him to set the church ablaze with His holy fire and that all that was not of His would be burned away. His people would be led out of captivity, out of their “Egypt”, so they would be ready to be carriers of His power and presence. One person prayed that waves of revival would break forth in Wales again.

Another person prayed for restoration in the land of Wales and in the church – that seeds sown would flourish and that there would be no more barrenness.  Two others felt the burden to pray for the next generation, and we prayed for the Lord to encounter and raise up young people who would fear the Lord and would be fully surrendered, ready to be used by Him.

I saw a picture of men and women of different ages and nationalities holding hands in a circle, being joined as one. Another person released a word that God would join the generations together, and the young and old would come alongside each other in the coming revival. God would bring a restoration of the family, with the hearts of the fathers turned to their children and the hearts of the children to the fathers (Malachi 4:6).

Move Again

We prayed in accordance to Isaiah 58:12, and asked the Lord to rain down His righteousness and mercy upon this land which is the foundation of His throne. We declared Psalms 24,

“Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.”

We sought the Lord for His strategic plans for this nation, that many intercessors would stand in the gap by the blood of Jesus Christ and be vessels of His honour and glory. We prayed for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the community. Our hearts were stirred to pray for revival and the restoration of intercession in this land, and we prayed for salvation and softened hearts that would receive God’s Word and His cry for them. There was a deep cry in our hearts for God to move in this nation again and so we ended this session by praying the Caleb prayer,

“O High King of heaven,
Have mercy on our land.
Revive Your church;
Send the Holy Spirit,
For the sake of the lost, the least, and the broken.
May Your kingdom come to our nation.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.”

Fix Your Eyes On What Is Eternal

Hebrews 12:1,

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race.

We prayed for the church to be fully yielded to His spirit, that they would lay aside every weight and sin at the foot of the cross, to press on toward the upward call of Jesus Christ. There was also a sense that God wanted us to pray for the church to mature, so she would fix her eyes on what is eternal. One person in the group released Hebrews 6:1,

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God.

We also prayed for the church to seek first the Kingdom of God and to put His agenda above the plans of man, as the Lord put Matthew 6:33 upon hearts.

Matthew 6:33,

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

A Sound Of Worship

We prayed for the leaders of the church to be seekers of His heart, and vessels that are set apart for Him. One person prophesied that the Sauls of the land would be no more, and along would come a generation of worshippers like David who would minister to the Lord continually and worship him wholeheartedly. There is a fresh move of the Spirit upon the churches that would release a sound of worship and renewed joy, and we began to lift our voices to worship the Lord and asked Him to bring forth the restoration of first love and joy in the church.

Another person prayed for the younger generation to be restored to Him, that they would encounter the Lord and harken to His call. We prayed for the Lord to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and for Him to raise up a generation that seeks His face and loves Him with great passion.

Holy Hunger

We prayed for growth and maturity in the UK churches, that there would be a dissatisfaction with stagnancy and a desire for the solid word of God. Two Scriptures came to mind, the first from Hebrews 5:13,

For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”

The other Scripture we prayed was from Matthew 4:4,

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

We prayed that the church would hunger for the Word of God which brings life and restoration. We prayed that Christians would feed on His living manna and be satisfied in Him. We declared Hebrews 4:12,

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

When His word is preached, it will bring forth conviction in hearts but also honour the Lord! We also prayed for the strengthening of the church and that His word would be proclaimed in power.
